Hello,

Just wanted to share my experience with my first BMW.  You know there comes a time in everyone's life when they reach that certain age when you feel old and depressed and you find some toy to perk up your spirits.  At 40 I went out and bought a motorcycle to try and rekindle my youth.  This worked out fine until spinal surgery put a halt to my motorcycling days.

Now at 65 I am in the same predicament.  Reaching retirement and having a lot of time on my hands I decided to rekindle my adventurous spirit.  My son had already purchased a 1999 740 sport and had been trying for several years to get me to give up my beautiful (back breaking) truck and experience the pleasure of BMW life.

After enough badgering my him I decided to take the plunge and purchase a similar 740.  My local craigslist had a beautiful 740 touring sedan in immaculate condition.  After some excellent refresh work by my local BMW mechanic at Mpowered of Cary my "black beauty" is purring like a kitten and rides like it is on a cloud.

I am proud to be part of such a wonderful organization and hope to be a member for many years.
